Pumpkin Patch'n

Per our usual MO we decided to hit up our first pumpkin patch this year. There is a new one that just opened up in Bastrop right on the Colorado river and it is just beautiful.
First up the 'corn field' aka sorghum fields...
Per his usual MO Jackson was looking for dinosaurs...
But I think they must have all been sleeping?!?!
We said hello to some livestock...

And then rode on a pirate ship alllllll the way across the world. It was fantastic. Wish I would have taken more pictures of our 'adventure' ;).
Unfortunately we got rained out half way through our journey so we had to jump ship and seek shelter under a concession stand. We all (save James because he was in the stroller) were soaked to the bone.

Thankfully it wasn't cold out, but it sure was HOT. I mean it was SO humid it was hard to breathe! It didn't deter us though, the sun finally came out for a bit and we continued on to the cow train...
and then Jackson decided he wanted to get his face painted. By face he meant arm and by paint he wanted a measly ghost after waiting in line forever. Ahhhh well, he was happy and that's all that mattered.

The cub is VERY into ghosts lately. He looks for them everywhere and talks about them all the time. We see a lot of them in people's houses/yards for Halloween and he is absolutely fascinated by them.
He was THRILLED to have one on his arm and was sooooo sad when we bathed him and it was gone.  Since then he's made me draw them for him and point them out everywhere we go. He says, 'Momma, you look for ghosts. Look with your eyes. OPEN your EYES MOMMA!!!'. It's pretty intense.
Lastly, we took some pumpkin pictures. Unfortunately the boys weren't so cooperative so this is the best I could do...
I love this one of Jackson and James. They are making the same face and look so alike here! I can't believe it!
1st round of pumpkin pictures done. Get ready though, we've seen loadsssss of pumpkins everywhere and where there are pumpkins, there are always photo opportunities ;).
