Today this little fam ventured out to Fredericksburg, TX. It's a small German town about an hour drive outside of Austin. Jack suggested we go as a last minute trip to get out of town. What a great suggestion indeed---we had an amazing time and believe it or not...Jackson was on his best behavior, (lately he hasn't been so 'good').
The cub enjoyed some local fare--bratwurst, potato pancakes and applesauce...
Was completely mesmerized by the water mill...
And had a good time with the leftover Christmas decorations.
While his dad had a good time at the biergarten...
We enjoyed a leisurely stroll up and down the streets of the town and Jackson even picked up a new friend. His name is Tigre and the boy literally picked him out of my hands shoved it in Jack's face, smiled and said 'dada'.
Needless to say Tigre was coming home with us. Except that as we were getting back in the car Tigre was almost left behind....along with one of J's shoes...
On the way home we decided to stop by one of the Texas wineries to enjoy a glass of wine. This by far was the best part of the trip, both for Jack and I
and Jackson. He thoroughly enjoyed exploring the grounds and getting into trouble...
I tried to convince him to take a stroll with me but he wasn't having it...
....Until I told him about the swing down the way and then he just about jumped all the way down.
This boy LOVVVVVVVVVESSSSSS swinging.
Oh and Tigre?! He made it home ok and even replaced Jackson's
mai mai spot...
