Mr. Jackson goes to The Capitol

Not exactly Washington, but we'll get there soon enough...In the mean time we had a blast visiting his Auntie Jo in her place of business. This was Jackson's first visit to the most amazing place in Texas--the State Capitol building. We got to see all the great spots the Capitol has to offer; the steps, the dome, and even a representative's private office!

We even got to go on the floor and take in all the glory of legislatures past and present. We tried to get a cute shot of the boy grinning on the floor but he rolls over all the time now so he just kept trying to roll.

This shot was taken while Jo was holding our 'little' guy over her tiny frame. Her arms were trembling because he is so heavy now and it is near impossible to hold this kid for more than a few minutes (seriously, my veins are jutting out of my arms from holding him so much).

In the end, good times were had by all. The visit was truly bittersweet because I know Jack wanted to be the one to take Jackson there himself and show him around but I'm fairly certain there will be LOTS of opportunities to take the boy back. Maybe when Jack's running the place?!?!?
